Privacy policy

How Bike Brisk collects, uses and protects the personal information you share when you book, visit or contact us.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Bike Brisk, a bike wash and motorcycle service workshop (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our contact details are listed at the end of this policy and on our contact page. We are responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services:

  • Booking details — your name, phone number, email address (optional), bike type, requested service, preferred time and any notes you add.
  • Visit records — your bike’s make, model, registration number, mileage, the work carried out, parts used and payment records.
  • Communication — messages, calls and emails you exchange with us.
  • Website data — basic technical information such as browser type, pages visited and approximate time of visit, collected through cookies as described in our Cookie policy.

3. How we use your information

  • To confirm, schedule and manage bookings.
  • To carry out washes, servicing and repairs and keep a service history for your bike.
  • To contact you with quotes, updates and approval requests during a job.
  • To send service reminders if you are on a care plan or have asked for reminders.
  • To handle payments, invoices, warranty claims and complaints.
  • To keep our website secure and understand how it is used so we can improve it.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your consent, and we never sell it.

4. Legal basis

We process your information because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, for our legitimate interest in running a safe and efficient workshop, or because you have given consent (for example to receive reminders). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sharing your information

We share information only when needed: with parts suppliers when ordering a part specific to your bike, with payment providers to process a payment, with IT and hosting providers who run our website and booking systems under confidentiality obligations, and with authorities where the law requires it. Each recipient receives only the minimum information required.

6. How long we keep it

Booking enquiries that do not lead to a visit are deleted within six months. Job sheets, invoices and service histories are kept for up to six years to support warranties and meet accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

Our website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Workshop records are kept on password-protected systems and paper job sheets are stored in a locked office. Access is limited to staff who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our safeguards regularly.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is inaccurate, delete information we no longer need, stop sending you reminders, or provide your bike’s service history in a portable format. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Our services are intended for bike owners and riders who are legally able to agree to them. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
