Motorcycle servicing done to the manual, not by guesswork

Oil, filters, plugs, chains, brakes, clutches, electrics and fuel systems — serviced on a written checklist, tightened to the right torque and road-tested before you collect. You see the job sheet, the receipts and, if you want, the old parts.

The general service sheet

Fourteen checks grouped into four areas. Every item is ticked, measured or replaced, and the readings go on your job sheet so you can compare them at the next service.

Electrics & controls

Every service finishes with a short road test and a final torque check on the axle nuts, sump plug and brake caliper bolts.

When should you service?

Your owner’s manual is the final word, but most commuter bikes in daily use follow a pattern close to this. Heavy traffic, short trips, dust and rain all count as “severe use” — if that describes your riding, shorten every interval by about a third.

Not sure when the bike was last serviced? Bring it in and we will start a fresh record from today.

Every 500 km

Clean and lubricate the chain, check tyre pressure and lights.

Every 1,500–2,000 km

Every 3,000 km

Oil change on semi-synthetic, clean air filter, check spark plug and clutch play.

Every 6,000 km

Replace spark plug and air filter element, lubricate cables, inspect sprockets.

Every 12,000 km

Brake fluid change, wheel bearing check, valve clearance on bikes that need it.

Every 2 years

Coolant on liquid-cooled bikes, fork oil on bikes with adjustable forks, full brake overhaul.

Chain & sprocket care

The chain is the most neglected part on most bikes and the one that costs the most when it is ignored. A dry chain stretches unevenly, hooks the sprocket teeth and makes the bike jerk at low speed.

We lift the rear wheel, degrease and scrub the chain, check for tight links, measure stretch over a set number of pins, lubricate and set the slack to the figure for your model. If the kit is worn we replace chain and both sprockets together, because a new chain on old sprockets wears out in a fraction of the time.
