Terms and conditions

The terms that apply when you book, use or pay for any Bike Brisk wash, detailing, servicing or repair service.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every booking, visit and purchase with Bike Brisk, whether made through this website, by phone or in person. By booking or leaving a bike with us, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Refund & cancellation policy and Privacy policy.

2. Bookings

A booking request made through the website is not confirmed until we call or message you to confirm it. We try to honour preferred times but may offer an alternative if a slot is full. You must give accurate information about the bike and the service needed.

3. Prices and quotes

Published prices are starting prices for standard commuter bikes, including labour, unless stated otherwise. Parts are charged separately at the price shown on your job sheet. Larger bikes, heavily soiled bikes or additional work may cost more — we will tell you before starting. Repair quotes are valid for 7 days.

4. Approval of additional work

If we find a fault or need to do work beyond what was booked, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. If we cannot reach you, we will complete only the agreed work and record our recommendation on the job sheet.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Remove valuables, documents and loose items from the bike and its storage compartments.
  • Tell us about known faults, previous accident damage, aftermarket parts or warning lights.
  • Ensure you are the owner of the bike or are authorised by the owner to arrange work on it.
  • Collect the bike within the agreed time.

6. Pre-existing condition

We record visible damage, scratches and faults at check-in. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear or defects, or for faults caused by previous repairs, even if they become apparent during our work.

7. Washing and detailing

We use paint-safe products and methods. However, washing can reveal or worsen existing defects such as peeling paint, loose decals, cracked plastics, failing seals or corroded electrical connections. We will point out any such issues we notice but cannot be held responsible for them.

8. Parts and warranty

Parts we supply are genuine or OEM-grade and carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Our workmanship on repairs is guaranteed for three months from collection. The warranty does not cover wear and tear, misuse, accidents, racing, or later work by another workshop. Customer-supplied parts are fitted at your risk and are not covered by our workmanship warranty.

9. Payment and collection

Payment is due on collection unless you are on an approved invoice account or a prepaid care plan. We may keep the bike until payment is made. Bikes not collected within 7 days of completion may incur a daily storage charge, which we will notify you of in advance.

10. Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care of every bike in our workshop. Our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the cost of putting right the work concerned or the value of the job, except where the law does not allow such a limitation, including in cases of negligence causing personal injury.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of your booking applies. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the location of our workshop, as listed on our contact page.
